  • Available funds question

    Hey all,
I've been trading options for a few months now from an IRA account. I had some good faith violations early on and got a 90-day settled-cash restriction. Since then I've checked my "available funds for trading" and "available to withdraw" first thing in morning and ALL the funds from what I sold the previous day have been available. I was surprised thinking it was 2-3 days but it has been the next day every time. Now, as of 5:30 PM 10/12, all the funds from options sold friday 10/9 are in still in "cash and sweep vehicle" and not available to trade or withdraw. Any insight into this would be appriciated. I thought the market was closed today..smh or I would have called ameritrade.

I was just gonna ask who your broker was...

I would wait until the morning and ask Ameritrade. I've used several brokers over the years and still call in for questions like that. It's better to get it from the horse's mouth.

Realize that trading is a skill and just like any other skill it takes time to learn. Have convictions in your decisions in life and trading. Ignore the comments and "advice" of those that have never traded a day in their life."
