  • Guide to working on Wall Street

In this article I'm going to give you some basics about Wall Street employment.

First of all let's clear up a common misnomer, working ON Wall Street. A lot of times when people say they work ON Wall Street they don't literally mean they work on the street in New York. There are numerous financial districts around the world and specifically the US where traders, investors, brokers, and so on do their dealing. A trader at the Chicago Board of Trade(CBOT) might tell people he works on Wall Street, which is fine, but once again he doesn't literally mean he works on the street.

There a few basic jobs on Wall Street and here they are:

    Retail Trader
    Prop Trader
    Hedge Fund Trader
    Floor Trader
    Mutual Fund Manager
    Investment Banker
    Hedge Fund Manager

There are enough options to suit your needs or preference.

This section of the website will basically be a classifieds section for Wall Street jobs. We'll have recruiters, fund managers, prop firms, and other Wall Street employers posting job leads and the like. Enjoy and happy hunting.

"Step into the arena and hold on to your hat. Don't get discouraged if you don't make 8 trillion dollars in your first month. Trading is not a get rich quick scheme. Realize that trading is a skill and just like any other skill it takes time to learn. Have convictions in your decisions in life and trading. Ignore the comments and "advice" of those that have never traded a day in their life."

There's a bunch of good ones but you gotta be careful. There's a lot of sites that you can review workplaces. I would check those out before I committed to one
